FUNERAL RITES TODAY
FOR PICHER STUDENT
Picher, Okla., Nov. 19 - Funeral services for
Esther Ruth Davis, 16-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Davis, who died Thursday morning at her home, 218 South Netta
street, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the
Union church.
The Rev. Wesley Post, pastor of the church will
officiate assisted by the Rev. J. H. Mott, assistant pastor.
Burial will be in Baxter Springs cemetery.
The junior class of the high school, of which Esther
Ruth was a member, will attend the services in a body. Musical
parts of the service will include two hymns, "No Night
There" and "Face to Face", by a high school mixed
quartet composed of Thelma Fay Green, Shirley Foster, Roy Eddie
Walker and Leroy Roland and "Sunrise by the junior choir of
the Union church.
Flower girls will be Lola Mae Masterson, Edna Fay
Grey, Fay Nell Heltzell, Clysta Bryant, Peggy Post, Thelma and Lou
Etta Bartlett, Velma Thompson Katherine Montgomery, Mildred Kerr
and Hattie Dean Cook.
Active pallbearers will be Earl Bradbury, Leroy
Searcy, Alton Caswell, Frank Hammick, John Swango and Billie
Cappell. Honorary pallbearers will be Tilford Klinefelter, George
Dugan, Charles Masterson, George Evans, George Bailey and Chester
Hammick.
