1924 ~ 1938
 orn 1924 ~ Died November, 1938,
at home, Ottawa Co., Picher, Oklahoma, bur. Baxter Springs, Kansas,
of phneumonia at the age of
16, she was called "Dibie". The photograph above was
taken when she was about 11 years old and was already an
accomplished pianist like her mother Daphne and her sister Hester
Alice "Alice". She was taught by her mother and
grandmother, Mary Alice (Wharton) McColloch. I have been told over
the years by family members that even at this early age Dibie had
already eclipsed her mother and sister in her piano skills.
She was extremely intelligent with a very loving and happy nature
which endeared her to her entire family as well as her friends,
church and school classmates. She was mourned and truly missed by
everyone upon her all too early death.
